Netflix announced that they’re gonna get rid of the DVD + Streaming plan. Instead, it’s going to be two separate plans for DVD and Streaming. Plus if you want both DVDs and Streaming, it’s going to end up costing about $5 more than it used to.

This sucks.

I have the 2 DVD out + streaming plan. My monthly fee is gonna jump from $15 to $20. And what do I get for that extra 5 dollars? Nothing (yet).

I understand why they need to increase the price though. Netflix’s content licensing fees are going to increase to almost $2 billion from the $180 million they were paying in 2010.

Hopefully, stuff like crappy movie selection, super low volumes, no bonus features, super small HD library,  crappy audio+video and all the problems with Instant Streaming will be fixed with the extra 5 bucks I’ll be paying each month.
