I’ve been playing a bunch of tennis these past few months using some Volkl DNX 9 racquets that my dad bought. They’re fine but the handle was too small for me and I thought it’d be cool to try out a new racquet so I bought one. The Babolat AeroPro Drive to be exact.

This is actually the older model of the new AeroPro Drive Cortex. Rather than paying $185 for the newer version, I settled for the older one for $125 from Tennis Warehouse and had it strung with Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex 16 gauge. I’m kind of a noob at tennis so I did some research making sure the reviews were awesome before I bought ‘em.

It arrived earlier today (8/6/09) and went out to play with it with Georo, the same guy that is in my shitty snowboarding videos, and who also got a new racquet today. Anyway, the AeroPro Drive is nice. The larger handle is definitely better. It feels stiffer than the DNX 9’s I was using, not sure if that’s good or bad. Ok, I’ll shut up now and put some more pictures up.

I didn’t plug it in to test it yet. But even if it didn’t work, it would still be the coolest thing ever. And Juno wasn’t that good.

We finally got to go snowboarding even though the trip was nearly cancelled. It was a four day trip to Belleayre, a small but fun mountain. The conditions ranged from wet slushy snow to man-made snow over ice and super fog to bright sunshine. The ice sucked but it was pretty good overall. I finally learned to ride switch which is awesome. And this is how it went down.

A couple days ago, I went to the Union to get some food with people. I went in and grabbed CJ’s Chicken Tenders and a cream soda and sat down to eat. I start eating the chicken tenders one by one not really paying attention to what they looked like. Finally, I got to the last one and noticed something strange about it.

I woke up on Saturday around 3 o’ clock in the afternoon and walked downstairs to get some food. Then suddenly Clifford (my younger brother, not actually the Big Red Dog) walks in with a box. I go, "WTF is that?" He says, "It’s a puppy!"

I don’t know how Cliff got my mom to get the dog. My mom used to always complain about how they’re such a hassle. They shed, shit and piss everywhere. But I guess its kind of cool having one around.
